European Media Management Association (emma) Summer School

The European Media Management Association (emma) Summer School is an annual event, aimed
at doctoral students providing a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best
educators in the field of Media Management and receive individual feedback on their
dissertation proposals and research. The 2010 School will be hosted by the School of
Communication at the University of Navarra, Pamplona, August 23-27.

Development Communication Class Summer 2010

The University of Missouri-St Louis is offering an internet based course beginning June 14, ending August 7, 2010.  Introduction to Comparative International Media Systems (MedSt 2500) is an online course offered for both credit and non-credit.  The Summer 2010 course deals with development communication and attempts by core nations to assist those in the third world through a variety of communication/media efforts.  Comparative Media Systems consists of weekly videos, readings and discussions.  The textbook is Developmental Communication: Reframing the Role of the Media
