My name is Roberto Suárez. I'm based at the Department of Communication at the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). I have just handed in my dissertation "Public Policy for Digital Terrestrial Television in the European Union. Comparative analysis of Sweden and Spain."
I belong to ECREA since 2005 and besides attending the conferences I have also taken part in the doctoral summer school.

My name is Anne Kaun and since February 2008 I am PhD-student at Södertörns Högskola (BEEGS – Baltic and East European Graduate School) and University of Örebro. My thesis is dealing with (mediated) public (dis-)connection in the Baltic States. I hold a Magister degree in Media and Communication Studies of the University of Leipzig as well as a degree in European Studies of the Technical University of Kaliningrad.

I’m Paola Savini and I’m the country representative for Italy.
I’m a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics, Marketing and Corporate communication at the IULM University of Milan, and my thesis deals with the independent audiovisual production within a growing multichannel environment. After few years of work in the media sector, in 2007 I joined as a researcher the Institute of Media Economics of the Rosselli Foundation in Rome, where my research interests focus on Media policy, management and economics.

My name is Sven Engesser. I am a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Communication Studies and Media Research at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. I am doing a PhD on participatory journalism and quality. My research interests are journalism research, international comparison, political communication, and media systems.
