Bulgaria: Country Representative

Hello,
My name is Katia Mihailova. I am pleased to participate in YECREA as Bulgarian Country Representative. It took me a lot of time to gather information for media and communication education, research and other activities in Bulgaria, because my country is full of various interesting and exciting ideas in the field and each one of them deserve to be presented. So, you will see them one by one.
I have done my PhD at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridsky", Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication. This is the oldest and the biggest institution for education and research in the field of media and communications in Bulgaria. My dissertation is "The Public Service Television and The Children Audience". My doctoral research was supported by SYLFF and I am one of the members of the world SYLFF family.
My teaching experience started three years ago at the University of National and World Economy. Now I am Assistant Professor at the newly born Department of Media and Public Communications and I can say that it is very exciting to work in a rising department.
The researches I am involved now are in the fields of sociology of media, media regulation, social media for children, cyberbullying.
