The Presseclub Concordia watches over the freedom of press and speech, calls for ethics and quality in journalism and acts as lobbyist for independent publishing. Concordia meets those demands by its daily work for members, the awarding of the “Concordia-prizes”, media specific events and the dedicated participation in public discourse.
Presseclub Concordia celebrates it’s 150th anniversary in 2009.

Kuratorium für Journalistenausbildung (KFJ)
The Kuratorium für Journalistenausbildung (KfJ) in Salzburg is the only institution offering basic and mid-career training for journalists in Austria. Legally it is a private association, and the members are the Austrian Newspaper Editors Association (VÖZ Verband Österreichischer Zeitung), the Austrian Magazine Association (ÖZV Österreichischer Zeitschriften- und Fachmedien-Verband) and the Austrian Journalists' Union (ÖGB, Sektion Journalisten). In it's advisory council, reporters, editors, publishers and experts from universities work together to find the most suitable way to transmit the desired contents.
