International workshop: Young scholars publications in social sciences and humanities Brussels, ULB, 20 April 2011
Young scholars in the humanities and social sciences are often urged to publish a lot in order to get good evaluations from their administration. But the publishing strategies to follow and the general context of one’s academic career "management" remain somehow obscure. Our guests at the “Journée d’étude internationale sur la publication des jeunes chercheurs en sciences humaines et sociales” will discuss these problems and will try to formulate some specific and useful “tricks of the trade”.
The study day will take place at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Institut d’études européennes) on Wednesday April 20, between 9 am and 5.30 pm. In the morning session, panels in French and English will bring together researchers, editors, publishers and science administrators while in the afternoon, workshops in French only will be dedicated to the "best" writing and publishing practices.
