Applications are invited for a two-year fixed term postdoctoral research fellowship in
political communication and media strategies of Islamist groups in the Arab world based
within the Centre for Media and Film Studies, Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The
appointee will carry out research in the inter-disciplinary field of the fellowship,
funded by the Leverhulme Trust, contribute to the proposed research output and its
dissemination. Applications should have a relevant PhD, preferably in the fields of
linguistics, politics and religions.

Annual leave is 30 days per year plus statutory and bank holidays. USS pension scheme
will be available.
