Media Studies: understanding of the broader context of media studies and of the theory
and history of media writing production; Media Writing â script, screenwriting,
documentary , television drama, magazine writing, PR; Professional experience in media
writing production; Understanding of the context of media writing production within the
field of media studies; Technical production skills esp. IT, Desktop publishing and
relevant software applications; Engagement with research in the field of media studies.
Lecturer in Creative Writing Post No. AFCC1208
Teaching of creative writing with specific expertise in Writing for Children, Writing
Autobiography, Travel Writing; Teaching expertise in Poetry with an ability to
contribute at Masterâs level in creative and critical writing; Evidence of active
engagement with continued professional practice in creative writing; Publications in
relevant contexts with evidence of engagement with creating writing initiatives for the
teaching of creative writing.
Lecturer in Creative/Performing Arts: Interdisciplinary Practice Post No. AFCC1207
Advanced knowledge of interdisciplinary performing arts practice: video, music,
performance; Knowledge of collaborative processes and practices; Understanding of
theoretical context of interdisciplinary practice; Understanding of innovation in
teaching strategies using mixed media formats; Ability to contextualise practice within
interdisciplinary pedagogy, preferably with relevant commercial or performing arts
practice.
