Sharing and finding presentations online

I haven't really got time to post a lot on the section Tips and Tricks lately but today I found a nice plug-in that should be of some interest. I still got to create a special page about Slideshare in the YECREA Knowledge base but I will anticipate here and explain shortly what it is about. It is accurately described in Crunchbase :

SlideShare is a community for sharing presentations. Individuals or organizations
can upload and share PowerPoint, PDF, or OpenOffice presentations.
Anyone can find presentations on their topic of interest. Users can tag
presentations, and download or embed them into their own websites or
blogs. Users can also share their documents privately. SlideShare lets
its users to join groups to connect with SlideShare members who share
similar interests. Business presentations make the most of the content.
SlideShare also has a facebook application for uploading documents.

Before giving more details about this in the next days (and I'm sure those who are interested will easily master this tools), I'd like to point out a feature offered to MS office 2007: a plugin for powerpoint, that allows you to syncronize, search and publish presentation right in your software.

You'll find a presentation of the plug-in and a demo. Actually I really encourage scholars to take the habit of putting their slides online. To me it is an effecient and easy way to spread your work but also to continue disucussion or get further insight in other's work, after conferences for example.
