Comparing the incomparable: International comparisons workshop

Short abstract of the presentation:
Based on the experience of European Kids Online: Risks and Opportunities project, the workshop aims to introduce the methodological difficulties and possibilities for international comparisons in the situations, where material is often not that well comparable. Using the methodological tools developed in the framework of this project, participants will attempt to their own small-scale internationally comparative project.

Short biography:
Pille has participated in the summer school twice (once in Helsinki and once in Westminster) and organised it four times in Tartu. She graduated her PhD in October 2006, focusing on the technology-society relationships in the various layers of information environment. Her research interests include users and uses of ICTs, mobile technologies, ICT polices etc.
