Call for participants | YECREA Workshop Series on Positionality and EDI in Academic Careers

YECREA is excited to announce that applications are now open for our Workshop Series on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) in Academic Careers; supported by a grant from the ECREA EDI Committee.
Early-career scholars are increasingly expected to articulate their positionality, demonstrate EDI awareness, and present coherent academic identities, all while navigating a highly competitive job market. This four-session, fully funded workshop offers a guided, practice-oriented space to develop exactly these skills.

Across the series, participants will:

  • Clarify what EDI means in academia and how it shapes CVs, applications, and career paths
  • Work with their own biography as a professional resource
  • Build job-position literacy and learn to decode academic job calls
  • Craft a strong, meaningful teaching statement rooted in pedagogical values and EDI commitments

Workshop dates

Four consecutive Thursdays — 26.02.26, 5.03, 12.03, 19.03

  • 17:00–18:30 CET
  • Participation is free of charge
  • Certificate available for attending at least 3 of 4 sessions
  • Eligibility: Open to YECREA members who meet early-career criteria (non-tenured academic positions).
